Last Monday, April 10, 2007, Citizens' Action for Peace cosponsored
"Stand for Love" at the University of Redlands. CAP joined with STAND,
a Student Anti-Genocide Coalition made up of over 600 high school and
college chapters dedicated to putting an end to genocide. On the
steps of the U of R Chapel, attendees from the community formed the
word LOVE with their STANDing bodies.

Across from the Memorial Chapel, tables were set up on the lawn where
groups such as Amnesty International, Peace Alliance, STAND and CAP set
up displays and provided literature, T Shirts, bumper stickers etc.
CAP's table focused on publications about informed enlistment and
conscientious objection in keeping with our commitment to educate
students about alternatives to the military.

These scenes were
captured last Saturday in Los Angeles. Several of us traveled there on
what we refer to as "The Peace Train". Saturday, 03/17/07 was the
day selected to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the US invasion of
Iraq with protest marches in cities all over the world.
